What You Can Do

The Social Inbox brings everything together so you don't have to switch between apps:

  • Read and reply to DMs - Direct messages from your followers
  • Respond to comments - Comments on your posts
  • See who mentioned you - When someone tags your account
  • Track story mentions - When someone mentions you in their story
  • View engagement - Likes and shares on your content

Getting Started

Click Inbox in the sidebar to open it. You'll see a badge showing how many unread messages you have.

Supported Platforms

Right now, the inbox works with:

  • Instagram - DMs, comments, mentions, and story mentions
  • Facebook - Messages, comments, and mentions

We're adding more platforms soon!

Filtering Your Messages

By Type

Use the filter buttons at the top to focus on what matters:

  • All messages
  • Just DMs
  • Just comments
  • Just mentions
  • Story mentions only

By Platform

You can also filter by platform if you want to focus on Instagram or Facebook separately.

Pro tip: Combine filters to see exactly what you need - like "Instagram DMs only."

Reading and Replying

The Conversation List

On the left, you'll see all your conversations showing:

  • Profile picture and username
  • A preview of the last message
  • When it was sent
  • A dot if it's unread

Click any conversation to open it.

Sending a Reply

  1. Click on a conversation
  2. Type your message in the reply box
  3. Press Enter or click Send

That's it! Your reply goes directly to that person.

Real-Time Updates

Everything updates instantly:

  • New messages appear right away
  • Unread counts update automatically
  • No need to refresh the page

Need Access?

If you can't see the inbox, you might need the access_social_inbox permission. Ask your workspace admin to add it for you.

Tips for Success

  1. Reply quickly - Fast responses make customers happy
  2. Use filters - Focus on one thing at a time
  3. Check regularly - Set aside time throughout the day
  4. Prioritize DMs - Direct messages usually need faster responses

Something Not Working?

Messages not showing?

  • Make sure your social account is connected
  • Check that you granted messaging permissions
  • Try reconnecting the account

Can't send replies?

  • Verify your account is still connected
  • Some message types (like likes) can't be replied to

Messages seem delayed?

  • This can happen due to platform limits
  • Try refreshing the page
