Content Calendar
Learn how to use the content calendar to visualize and manage your scheduled posts.
Overview
The Content Calendar provides a visual overview of all your scheduled, published, and draft content. It helps you:
- See your posting schedule at a glance
- Identify gaps in your content plan
- Plan content around important dates
- Drag and drop drafts to schedule them
- Add notes and reminders
Calendar Views
Weekly View
The weekly view shows 7 days with hourly time slots:
- See exact posting times
- Detailed view of each day's content
- Best for fine-tuning your schedule
To access: Click Week in the calendar toolbar.
Monthly View
The monthly view shows the entire month:
- Bird's-eye view of your content plan
- See posting frequency patterns
- Plan around holidays and events
- Best for high-level planning
To access: Click Month in the calendar toolbar.
Your view preference is saved and remembered for your next visit.
Navigating the Calendar
Moving Between Dates
- Previous/Next: Click the arrow buttons to move by week or month
- Today: Click Today to jump to the current date
- Date Picker: Click on the date display to jump to any specific date
Viewing Posts
Posts appear on their scheduled date with:
- Post preview (image thumbnail or text snippet)
- Platform icons showing where it will publish
- Status indicator (scheduled, published, failed)
- Post type indicator (Post, Story, Reel)
Click any post to view details or edit it.
Working with Drafts
The Drafts Drawer
At the bottom of the calendar, you'll find the Drafts Drawer:
- Shows all your draft posts
- Drafts can be dragged onto the calendar
- Quick access to unscheduled content
Scheduling Drafts via Drag-and-Drop
- Open the Drafts Drawer
- Find the draft you want to schedule
- Drag it to your desired date on the calendar
- Drop it on the date
- Choose the specific time
- The draft becomes a scheduled post
Calendar Notes
Add notes to any date to remember important events or content ideas.
Adding a Note
- Hover over a date
- Click the + or Add Note button
- Enter your note text
- Select a color (optional)
- Save the note
Managing Notes
- Edit: Click on a note to modify it
- Delete: Click the delete icon on a note
- Move: Notes stay on their assigned date
Notes sync in real-time, so team members can see updates immediately.
Creating Posts from Calendar
Quick Create
- Click on any date/time slot
- The post creator opens with that time pre-selected
- Create your content
- It's automatically scheduled for that time
Context Menu
Right-click on a date to access quick actions:
- Create new post
- Create new Story
- Create new Reel
- Add a note
Post Management
Editing Posts
Click any post on the calendar to:
- View full details
- Edit content
- Change scheduled time
- Modify platforms
Rescheduling
To move a post to a different time:
- Click on the post
- Change the scheduled date/time in the editor
- Save changes
Or simply edit the post and select a new time.
Post Status Colors
Posts are color-coded by status:
- Blue: Scheduled (waiting to publish)
- Green: Published successfully
- Red: Failed (check for errors)
- Gray: Draft
Real-Time Updates
The calendar updates in real-time:
- See when team members schedule posts
- Status changes appear immediately
- Notes sync across all users
- No need to refresh the page
Tips for Effective Calendar Use
- Plan weekly: Set aside time each week to review and plan your calendar
- Use notes: Add notes for content ideas, events, or reminders
- Check for gaps: Look for days without content
- Balance platforms: Ensure you're not posting too much to one platform
- Review and adjust: Use the calendar to spot patterns and optimize
