Troubleshooting
Connection Failed
If a connection fails:
- Ensure you're signed in to the correct account
- Check that you have admin/owner permissions for business pages
- Try clearing your browser cache and cookies
- Disable browser extensions that might interfere
Permissions Issues
Some platforms require specific account types or permissions:
- Instagram: Must be a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page
- TikTok: Must be a Business or Creator account
- LinkedIn Pages: You must be an admin of the company page
- YouTube: You must be a channel owner or manager
Account Not Showing
If your account doesn't appear after connecting:
- Refresh the page
- Check that you granted all required permissions
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the account
Best Practices
- Connect all relevant accounts: The more platforms you connect, the more efficiently you can manage your social presence
- Use business accounts: Business/Creator accounts offer more features and better API access
- Keep credentials secure: Only connect accounts through the official OmniSocials interface
- Regular check-ins: Periodically verify your connections are still active
